As with most modern languages a range of different organisations have been established to promote the interests of Gaelic and its culture. Some are there to help learners develop their skills, others to encourage the Gaelic arts or to develop its use in business and government.   • Comunn na Gàidhlig Comunn na Gàidhlig (CnaG) was established with Scottish Office support in 1984 as a co-ordinating Gaelic development agency. Operating at local, regional and national levels, CnaG is a company with charitable status.
  • Clì - The New Gaels Clì is a campaigning charity which promotes the Scots Gaelic language. Its aims are to disseminate information on Gaelic and Gaelic affairs and to act as the voice of Gaelic learners and non-traditional speakers
